Kisii County Governor James Ongwae who is perceived to be an ally to NASA leader Raila Odinga is in trouble following the sewage menace in the county.
Locals residing opposite Ufanisi Resort in Kisii protested the Governor's silence after bursting of sewage pipes in the area.
"We will not continue suffering from bad smell produced from sewage while the county boss is busy looting public funds. It is high time Ongwae to move with speed to ensure leaking pipes are repaired," said Eric Omanwa.

Cleophas Obwocha claimed that the officers in charge of environment and health are sleeping on their job.
"Ongwae should sack health and environment officers who have failed to ensure the leaking sewage pipes are repaired. People's health must not be taken for granted," stated Obwocha.

"The ODM Governor should work for the people who elected him. Leaked sewage pipes must be repaired or changed to curb bad smell which is making members of the public uncomfortable," Masese suggested.
Zachary Oyieyo, a Boda boda rider said Ongwae has until Monday to ensure the leaking pipes are repaired.
