Nyaribari Masaba Member of Parliament Ezekiel Machogu has assured residents of Riatirimba in his constituency that the Riatirimba Technical Training Institute which has been dormant for years will now start functioning from early next year.

Speaking during the assessment session of the institution with the Permanent Secretary for Vocational Training Dr. Kevit Desai, Machogu said he is committed at empowering young people through education.

"Bwana PS am requesting national government through you to allocate funds so that we can finish the incomplete structures here son that early next year I promise this institution will be officially opened to give way for young people to gain skills," he said.

"We will build new hostels here for students because travelling from Keroka daily is costly. This will increase the economy of the area even mothers to have an opportunity to sell their vegetables to teachers and students,"

Machogu said he will work closely with the Kisii County Government to drill a borehole which will help in providing water to students and residents at large.

"I will work closely with the County Government through area MCA to dispatch a team of geologists to asses the area and drill a sustainable borehole for us to get enough water for our students and residents,"
