Safaricom customers anticipate a better calling experience after the mobile service provider unveiled a new feature.
The new features, Video over LTE (VOLTE) and Voice over LTE (VoLTE), were unveiled on Tuesday as the management seeks to beat its competition when it comes to service delivery.
The service, however, will only benefit customers with 4G enabled devices following the new development.
According to Chief Customer Officer, Sylvia Mulinge, the new features will help all subscribers in the country regardless of their location. With the new features, customers will make both voice and video calls to their families, relatives, and friends.
“We are proud to introduce the latest calling technology across the country which will enable Kenyans to make voice and video calls over 4G,” she said, as quoted by Standard.
Mulinge said that the features enable customers to enjoy crystal clear video and voice calls. She further noted that high-quality video calling features would better the experience of customers while at work.
The company has embarked on a mission to maximize its earnings with new products, including VoLTE.
Statistics show that a bulk of subscribers are still using SMS and Voice calls while communicating with their loved ones. The service provider is targeting a more extensive customer base with the new products.
