Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has apologised to Nairobians for having earlier picked controversial Canadian lawyer Miguna Miguna as his deputy.
In an interview on Milele FM on Wednesday morning, Sonko said that he had picked Miguna out of anger and bitterness.
The Jubilee governor said that he was undergoing a lot of political pressure, blackmail and even intimidation forcing him to pick Miguna Miguna.
“There was a lot of political blackmail and pressure on me that is why I picked Miguna,” he said on the radio interview.
Sonko however said that he knew that Miguna was not going to be cleared by the Nairobi County Assembly.
Governor Sonko had picked Miguna in May as his deputy in a move that elicited much reactions and criticisms especially from Jubilee party politicians.
