Kenya Premier League has in the last couple of years developed, with many corporate firms sponsoring some of the top clubs.

Despite all this, not many players earn a lot playing for the local clubs. There are however some who earn good cash that is envied by many. 

Here is a list of some of the players who earn the highest in the league. 

Denis Oliech

Former Harambee Stars captain Dennis Oliech is the most expensive player in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL).

Oliech agreed to a lucrative Sh350,000 per month salary after signing a one-year contract with Gor Mahia, making him the highest paid player in the local league.

In addition to that, Oliech also earns Sh3.5million sign-on fee to be paid in two installments.

2.Francis Kahata

The Gor Mahia left winger is second in the list. He earns a monthly salary in excess of Sh130,000.

3. Jacques Tuyisenge

The Rwandese striker plays his soccer at Gor Mahia, and also earns above Sh100,000.

All the above players also earn playing bonuses. They earn Sh10,000 every time they win a match.

For AFC Leopards, most players earn between Sh40,000 and Sh100,000.

Tusker FC also remunerates their players relatively well. The brewers highest earner takes home Sh70,000 with the lowest first team player pocketing Sh40,000.

The players also receive Sh10,000 winning bonus and Sh5,000 for a draw.

Sofapaka also pays the players well. The club was facing financial doldrums until Betika stepped in. A three-yearSh50 million deal was inked between the Sofapaka and the betting firm and all seems to be rosy.

 Players are paid an average of Sh40,000 to Sh60,000. They earn allowances in Sh5,000 for a win.
