Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i has been told not to succumb to cheap insults but, focus on delivering to Kenyans.
According to Kisii County Governor James Ongwae, Matiang'i is hard-working and those not impressed with his work should find their 'own' country.
"The recent photo which surfaced online form four leavers insulting Matiang'i following his efforts to curb exam cheating should be ignored. I am requesting Mr. Matiang'i to focus on his work and ignore things which will derail his work," he said.
The ODM allied governor asked police to ensure the Ambira High School Boys who insulted Matiang'i are facing the law to serve as an example to the rest of students across the country.
He maintained that Matiang'i's good work is seen since he was appointed in 2013.
Ongwae urged politicians from the Gusii community to unite and speak in one voice for the sake of bringing development in the region.
"We should not be our own enemies. As Gusii politicians we should join hands and champion for development across all corners of Gusii region," he added.
