A Kenyan man of Somali origin has joined the race to marry a highly priced Sudanese bride alleged to be worth 520 cows and 3 V8 cars.
Nyalong Ngong Deng Jalang, a lady hailing from Awerial in the former Lake State in South Sudan is said to be looking for a potential husband to marry as long as he meets the two conditions.
However, Abdurrahim Abshir, a Somali man aged 56 years from Irir Samaale sub clan in Garissa has expressed optimism that he will finally win Nyalong and finally have her as her second wife.
Abshir added that he was willing to even add an extra cow to make it 521, a number way above the bride's demands.
"I am willing to give an extra cow to make the number 521. She will be my second wife," said Abshir.
The entry of the Somali man now raises the number of suitors who have expressed interest in the Sudanese beauty gal to six.
Before the entry of Abshir into the race, five men had already expressed interest with the top contestant by the name Kok Alat placing his bid of 500 cows and 3 V8 cars.
Among the competitors is the former commissioner of Awerial and the current deputy governor of Eastern Lakes State, among others.
