Former Archbishop Emeritus John Njenga of Mombasa will be laid to rest in Nairobi.

Archbishop Njenga died on Sunday, November 4, while undergoing treatment at Mater Misericordiae Hospital, Nairobi. He was aged 90.

Archbishop of Mombasa, Most Rev. Martin Kivuva confirmed Njenga's death, saying: "Dear brothers and sisters, it is with humble submission to divine will that I wish to inform you of the demise of our beloved Archbishop Emeritus John Njenga. He went to the Lord today, Sunday 4 November at 11:45 hrs."

He will be laid to rest in Nairobi on Tuesday, November 13, according to a communication from the Catholic Bishops.
