Mandera Governor Ali Roba has hit out at top politicians engaging in 2022 succession politics.
Roba says that it is too early for politicians across the political divide to start debating and campaigning for 2022.
Speaking to journalists at the Mandera Vocational Training Center on Wednesday, the Jubilee governor said ongoing succession debate is likely to hinder President Uhuru Kenyatta’s development agenda.
He pleaded with politicians across the political divide to shun 2022 debate and support the president's development agenda.
“We must stop this debate and support the president's Big four agenda,” he said.
Roba said that time for 2022 politics will come and go but what elected leaders do for Kenyans will remain permanent.
He pleaded with elected leaders in the county to support his administration.
The second term Jubilee governor pledged to deliver the promises he made to the electorate.
A section of top politicians in the country is embroiled in 2022 succession debate that is now threatening to derail development and the country's unity.
