Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has praised the Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji's purge on graft suspects.
Kalonzo wants DPP Haji and other agencies involved in the war against graft not to lose focus.
Speaking during the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting at the party's offices in Nairobi on Saturday, Kalonzo said Haji has given Kenyans hope in the war against corruption.
The Wiper leader said the DPP's purge is a clear indication that the fight against corruption can be successful.
"The DPP has done a good job so far and we urge him not to be merciless and go for the big fish in the fight against graft," Kalonzo said.
Kalonzo said corruption is an economic dragon that has to be fought mercilessly for development to be realized.
The former Vice President called on politicians to support the war against graft.
"We must support the President and the agencies involved in the fight against graft for success," he said.
The former Vice President, however, called on investigative agencies to put more focus on recovery of public money.
"As people are taken to court we also want to see what they stole being recovered," Kalonzo said.
The war on graft is on top gear as several government officials have been arrested and taken to court over graft charges in the recent days.
Haji said his office is reviewing various files touching on different people and that he will take action once there is enough evidence to the charges.
