Machakos residents have reasons to smile after a Chinese firm revealed its plans to construct a modern health facility in the region.
Zhongcheng Import and Export Co. Ltd has entered into a Sh4.8 billion deal with Kenya’s Lianard Holding Ltd to build the facility in a bid to provide better health care to the residents.
Upon completion, the health unit will comprise of 220 beds.
The firm also plans to set 300 apartment units across the region.
In a notice circulated to newsrooms dated December 26, the health care will cover 13,400 square meters.
The apartments will be located on 25,500 square meters of land.
The national government together with various private firms have plans to construct several hospitals across the country in a bid to ensure that Kenyans access better health services.
The Guangzhou Cherami China-Africa Investment and University of Nairobi (UoN), entered an agreement to establish a cancer center in Nairobi.
The Cancer Institute will be used for cancer diagnosis, treatment as well as referrals for serious cases not only in Kenya but the entire Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).
