Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has directed the Department of Public Service to identify a parcel of land within Eldoret town where a members club that will be exclusively used by county staff will be set up.
Mandago said the club will enable county staff to interact freely and have some good time.
Speaking during the county staff end year party at the county headquarters in Eldoret town, the governor who is serving his second and last term in office said his staff had performed well and deserve a recreational facility where they can relax with their families.
“We need a club for our own staff where they can take their families to swim, eat nyama choma and cool off after a busy day/week in office,” noted Mandago amid cheers from tens of the county staff who attended the party.
“I’m directing the Public Service to look for land within 5 kilometres from Eldoret town where the club will be set up,” he added.
The governor further pointed out that once operational, all the county staff who will be going to the facility will be equal.
“There will be no issue of who is senior to the other at the workplace. Everybody will go there as county staff and have fun as much as his/her pocket can accommodate,” insisted the county boss.
