Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa's remarks that she will not go anywhere even after ODM party expelled her from the party over her alliance with Deputy President William Ruto has elicited mixed reactions among Kisii local leaders.
Thomas Nyangaresi a former MCA hopeful in Bomariba urged Jumwa not to take her expulsion lightly.
"Jumwa should know that ODM may not be joking after she was shown the door. She better go back to the drawing board and apologize otherwise, she may lose her seat," he said.
He urged women leaders not to blame male politicians when they are found in trouble.
"Men should not be responsible when women in politics are in hot soup. Let Jumwa carry her own cross because she made an alliance with DP Ruto alone. If she won't consider her stand, then I'm sorry she may end up losing her seat," he stated.
Tabaka MCA, Daniel Ombasa urged the MP to seek leniency.
"The MP disrespected her party prompting her expulsion. Let her go on her knees because she will end up in the political cold," he said.
Rachael Otundo challenged ODM party to consider Jumwa and give her a second chance.
"ODM party leader Raila Odinga should intervene and reverse the party decision to expel Jumwa. She deserves a second chance," she noted.
