A NASA allied politician from Gusii region has congratulated Former Vice President Moody Awori who was appointed to the board of Sports, Art and Social Development Fund by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Thomas Nyangeresi defended Awori's appointment on grounds that age is not a matter.
"Kenyans should not be scared of Awori's 91 years. He should be given time to deliver and if he fails, he be evicted from office," he noted.
The youthful politician regretted that youths who are appointed to big state jobs have turned to be hyenas stealing and embezzling every cent they become across.
He urged Awori to focus on his new role and ensure he works around the clock to give his best after the historic appointment.
"No one was expecting that Awori will be absorbed into government. It was by the Grace of God given that Awori has taken a low profile since he finished his tenure as a Vice President. I am appealing to him to ignore critics and focus on his new roles," he added.
Nyangaresi contested unsuccessfully for Bomariba ward MCA seat in Kisii County on ANC party ticket.
