This comes after second term legislator took to Facebook to share pictures of area residents using the makeshift bridge.

In her post, Sabina disclosed that residents were forced to walk long distances due to lack of connecting bridges between the villages of Kiawanduma and Gitugi.

She further noted that many school-going children were forced to swim across the river, leading to unfortunate incidents of some losing their lives.

A number of Kenyans ridiculed Chege's move, with some criticising her for not sourcing for funds that would see the construction of a better bridge.
