Media mogul S. K Macharia's Royal Media Services is in trouble again following a Death and Funeral Announcement for Egesa FM radio presenter Joseph Mochere.
Mr. Mochere popularly known as Okebiro O'Mose committed suicide last week over a troubled marriage.
And even after RMS claimed that he was not an employee despite going on air for over two years, fans have yet again picked a fight with the media house for what they termed as discrimination.
"So in this announcement, they did not recognize him as Egesa FM worker? This is malicious," wrote Pius Machana in Nyamira Politics WhatsApp group.
Another user, Edna Kwamboka added: "It is quite wrong to disown someone who worked and even advertised your brand. Okebiro deserved better."
Some others urged listeners to boycott products by RMS on grounds of discrimination.
"Resist Egesa FM. They deserve a total blackout," added Stewart Oyugi.
Fans from across Gusii had initially demanded to know under what circumstances Mr. Mochere was working without viable contract.
In the announcement on the Nation, no reference was made to Royal Media Services despite the slain comedian working for them for three years.
He will be laid to rest on Friday at Enchoro, Nyamira County.
In a statement, the RMS through Egesa FM, claimed that the comedian was due to be absorbed in two months time.
