Nakuru Governor Lee Kinuthia has promised that his government will give a piece of land for a police station in Mau Narok.
Kinyanjui spoke when he toured the area over the weekend, days after two communities clashed in the area.
"The County Government will donate land in Mau Narok for the construction of a police station. We have requested the Inspector General of Police to consider the set up of a permanent fully fledged GSU and anti-stock theft units. This will deter the frequent incidents that have become the norm. It will also restore the region and allow normal economic activities to continue uninterrupted," Kinyanjui said.
The county boss also urged communities living in the area to do avoid being incited by politicians.
The area has been affected by cattle rustling which has led to the death of at least one person who was killed by rustlers two weeks ago.
