Kalenjin is a Nilotic group with a majority of them living in the Rift Valley region. Every language group has their common and unique names. Each name is associated with event, phenomena, someone among others.
The Kalenjin language group has several unique names. Commonly known names are Kipkoech, Kiprono, Kipchumba, Jebet, to name but a few.
