A teenager in Nakuru will have to spend the rest of his life in prison after being found guilty of defiling his 12-year-old sister on April 17 2018.
The incest case was reported at Bahati police station.
as ruled by Nakuru Courts senior magistrate Yvonne Khatambi.
While delivering the judgment, Nakuru principal magistrate Yvonne Khatambi said cases of defilement have become rampant and there is a need for stiff penalty.
“The incidents have been rampant in this area of jurisdiction. The accused will serve as a lesson to others with same ill intentions,” said Mrs Khatambi.
The suspect has 14 days to appeal against the ruling.
A total of five witnesses appeared in court to testify against the accused, including his mother and siblings, as the teenager committed the act at their home after her sister failed to give him lunch.
Medical tests and reports from the doctor which were presented before the court confirmed that the man actually had forced penetration with his sister as the hymen of the girl’s genitals was broken.
