Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has promised to serve his electorate and the entire country without fear or favor.
The second-term governor on Thursday took to social media and made the revelation amid rising political temperatures in the Ukambani region.
Mutua stated that he is ready to work with leaders from all the political divide in order to realize his development agenda before he completes his final term in office.
He added that he is committed to delivering on his campaign manifesto before he vacates office when that time comes.
“We will respect and work with all leaders irrespective of the political party they were elected or nominated on to actualize this agenda,” Mutua tweeted.
Mutua, who has expressed his interest in the Kenya's Presidency after President Uhuru Kenyatta completes his term in office said he will show commitment in serving Kenyans at large.
“On my part, I wish to assure the people of Machakos, Ukambani and Kenya at large that I will lead from the front in ensuring the aspirations of our people are met,” he stated in another tweet.
The governor has maintained that he is the right man to succeed President Kenyatta in 2022.
Mutua believes that he can change this nation if elected the next President.
