Speaking to a local daily, Swaleh dismissed speculations that he resigned because of misconduct.

The presenter also said that he was being paid enough to cater for his needs to involve in mischievous acts as alleged by some of the social media users.

‘’Yes, it is true I left Citizen TV a week ago. I resigned for personal reasons not because of what I am reading online. My salary and the little I get from my businesses is enough money for me. I am a professional journalist who has worked with international media entities,” Swaleh said.

Swaleh has since joined NTV where he is expected to assume the role of a senior news anchor, news producer and African affairs expert and researcher.

The recruitment of Swaleh at NTV comes after President Uhuru Kenyatta appointment Kanze Dena as the new Deputy State House Spokesperson and Deputy Head of the Presidential Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU).

Dena’s departure saw her Co-presenter Lulu Hassan’s hubby Rashid Abdalla considered a perfect replacement for her.
