In a tweet on Friday, Khalwale asked leaders and all Kenyans to stand with the CS to ensure that the order is implemented across the nation. The order comes after the death of eight students at the Precious Talent School in Nairobi.

“All Kenyans must rally behind Education CS Prof Magoha on closure of schools with dangerous infrastructure that are a threat to the lives of our children. Parents would rather have a live child and wait for improvement of those buildings,” he said.

Magoha on Thursday said that all schools that are posed dangerous to students are set to be closed down.

“… From now on, any school that looks like what I have shut down should be closed. Nobody should wait for us to shut them down, we have officers on the ground. But in the process to be humane, that even as we shut them down, can we ensure that there are schools where the minors can be relocated to,” said Magoha.

Kenyans have continued to condemn the management of the schools following the demise of the student The government has ordered all schools to ensure that they meet the safety standards before they open doors for operation.
