A nominated Senator has asked Deputy President William Ruto to ‘swallow his pride’ and kneel before Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader Raila Odinga if he wants to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Through a post on her Facebook page on Sunday, Rose Nyamunga said that the only sure bet of Ruto winning the Presidency in 2022 is by him showing respect to the former Prime Minister.
“Ruto and his brothers should stop biting more than they can chew...Asking the DCI to summon Raila Odinga is like trying to squeeze water from a rock. If Ruto surely wants to be president then he should swallow his pride and go kneel before Baba...as a way of showing respect to him. That's the only sure bet for him. Happy Sunday fellow Kenyans,” posted Rose Nyamunga.
The former Kisumu County Women Representative is turning out to be a fierce Odinga supporter ahead of the 2022 general elections.
Her recent moves have started giving an indication that she may vie for the women representative seat in 2022, to reclaim her former seat now being held by Rozaah Akinyi Buyu.
Buyu beat her during the ODM Party Primaries before defeating her again during the 2017 general elections.
After the elections, she was nominated Senator by the ODM Party.
