Industrialization CS Adan Mohamed has appointed Dr. Moses Ikiara as the acting Managing Director of Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS).

Dr. Ikiara is to assume the position with immediate effect for a period of three months.

The letter from CS Mohamed was addressed to the Chairman of National Standards Council Mugambi Imanyara.

Prior to his appointment, Dr. Ikiara was the Kenya Investment Authority MD.

Dr. Kiara takes over from embattled Charles Ongwae, who was arrested and charged with attempted murder over the importation of sub-standard goods into the country.
