Up to 50 families were forced to spend the night in the chilling cold after a fire razed down their houses.
The incident took place on Tuesday evening at Kasarani, Elburgon.
According to victims, a fire outbreak destroyed more than 10 plots.
"The fire was huge that we were unable to rescue anything. We are calling for well-wishers to help us rebuild our lives," Esther Miring'u said.
The fire spread fast due to the windy season. The houses were also built of timber.
Nakuru county government donated bedding and foodstuffs to the affected families.
"We have been sent by Governor Lee Kinyanjui to come here and deliver our pole as well as make sure that you have food and other things," Beatrice Nyawira, the political director in the governor's office, said.
Area MCA Njuguna Mwaura called on those who can donate to the victims to do so and help them rebuild their lives.
