After days of nursing defeat in Kitutu Chache South parliamentary elections, Antony Kibagendi would after all not regret his decision to ditch ODM party after 2017 polls.
The former ODM youth leader lost to Samuel Omwando in ODM nominations, an outcome that he never accpeted before shifting to Jubilee.
With elections in the constituency pushed to November due o the death of an earlier Jubilee flag bearer, Kibagendi then on unpopular Jubilee faced off with Omwando and incumbent Richard Onyonka.
And after coming close to victory, the youth leader defiantly defended Jubilee administration during turmoil and was subsequently appointed youth secretary in office of the Deputy President William Ruto.
On Wednesday, Kibagendi was among leaders who visited Gusii stadium ahead of Inter-County games and youth conference that will be graced by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Still, the DP is using him as one of campaign strategist ahead of 2022 polls and is among those coming with Ruto's itinerary every weekend.
