A widower in Nakuru is counting losses amounting to hundreds of thousands of shillings after goons descended on his shop on Friday.
Mathenge Nderitu who runs a shop in Bondeni Estate found himself on the receiving end after the group destroyed it and took away goods.
Nderitu said he suspects the thugs were sent by his landlord, with whom he had disagreed with over rent row.
He claimed that the landlord wants him out of the property.
Mathenge, 65, has since secured a court order barring the premise owner from accessing or pushing him out of the shop.
He claimed the 5 am incident saw him lose goods worth Sh200, 000, and is now calling upon the police to intervene and investigate the incident.
Mathenge told the People Daily that the incident was an attempt to frustrate him into exiting the premises. People's Daily.
