In a tweet on Saturday, Ahmednasir questioned how the school awarded learners PhDs, yet it doesn't have an undergraduate course in the same study area.

"47 PhDs were awarded by the Business School at JKUAT and the school doesn't have an undergraduate course. A Prof Kimani supervised 10 PhD graduates of the same year," he said.

His tweet elicited a lot of reactions, with fellow lawyer Donald Kipkorir calling for an audit of the over 100 PhD degrees awarded by the institution during the graduation ceremony.

"Commission of University Education under Prof Chacha Nyaigotti-Chacha should sanction JKUAT and have them recall all the 118 PhDs for peer review by a top UK University Business School. All the PhDs theses were business oriented rather than technology," Kipkorir said.

On Friday, JKUAT held its 33rd graduation ceremony where over 3,000 students graduated with degrees, diplomas, and certificates.
