Nyamira County Police Commander Catherine Mugo has assured residents that prostitutes shall be dealt with accordingly during the long December holiday.
Mugo while addressing members of the press on Monday, warned parents against 'sending' their daughters to Nyamira town at night to operate as sex traders.
"Those parents fond of using their beautiful daughters to make money should know the law won't condone them. Prostitutes found loitering in Nyamira town and other shopping centers will be apprehended to face prosecution," she noted.
The commander said school going children to keep off discos at funerals or weddings.
"Police will be going round 24 hours to ensure no underage children are attending disco 'matangas'. Illicit sex trade won't be tolerated," she added.
Ms Mugo urged women be at the forefront advising girls on the good moral values in the community.
She reiterated that married men should remain faithful to their wives and stop chasing young girls for sex in the exchange of money.
The commander advised students and pupils who are on holiday to keep of reading revision books while on the long December holiday.
