An elected Member of Parliament in Kisii County has asked opposition leader Raila Odinga to respect Deputy President William Ruto.
South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro while speaking on Friday when he hosted Deputy President William Samoei Ruto during the Tabaka Mission Hospital's Laboratory ISO Certification ceremony said the former Prime Minister should respect young leaders.
"I want to urge former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to accord Mr Ruto his respect. Dragging him into corruption allegations every time is uncalled for," he said.
According to the lawmaker, Raila should stop being a barrier to unity of Kenyans and leaders in this this country.
"Kenyans should enjoy the handshake but, not the handshake turning into expulsion of other leaders from parties. Raila agreed to shake hands with President Uhuru Kenyatta for the sake of unity. Why is he opposed when leaders come together to go work irrespective of their political affiliations? Expelling elected leaders won't earn him anything," he added.
Osoro said he will continue working with every leader in this country purposely to develop the constituency and uplift people's lives.
