This has impacted negatively on the side of men. A number of men from the region have failed to handle the breakup situations hence committing suicide.

After another man committed suicide in King'oina village on Saturday evening, I have decided to write this guide to help Gusii men get wind of unrealised mistakes they make, which make their women lose interest in them, leading to breakups.

1. Disloyalty.

Women lose interest in men when one is not loyal to them. A man should not lie to a woman. Tell her the truth no matter the situation. This will create her trust in you and keep on loving you.

2. Being 'I don't know' man.

Men should be the heads of families. Let an opinion come from them with reasons. Do not tell your woman that you do not know. This cuts off their reliability in you. In dates, select a place to sit. Do not tell her to pick a place. This will make her feel protected.

3. Lack of boundaries.

Set your boundaries as a man. Where your woman goes against them, tell her it is wrong. This will make her know that you are a principled man. She will try to keep her lane and hence your love life will be enjoyable.

4. Inability to handle problems.

When handling problems a man should be calm and patient. Do not make rash decisions. Most times women create drama to determine whether you are able to deal with bigger problems. Try to compose yourself and take everything simple. Do not show a woman how tensed you are. This turns them down and start losing interest in you.

If Men from Gusii region will master the art of identifying these common mistakes they make, there will be minimised family problems hence reduced suicidal deaths.
