Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General and a veteran trade unionist Francis Atwoli has hinted of President Uhuru Kenyatta 'forming' the next government after his second term.
Atwoli who repeatedly jumped to the defense of President Uhuru Kenyatta claiming the president must be accommodated in the next government through the constitutional change reiterated his stand at the mega function in which Wilson Sossion led union (KNUT) rejoined the larger trade union.
Speaking during the COTU-KNUT affiliation meeting, Atwoli said the Union does not want President Uhuru Kenyatta to go home and hence the Constitutional change will make Uhuru part of the government.
"We don’t need Uhuru to go back home after the constitution is amended, and it will be done before 2022"~Atwoli said
The trade union which has over 2.9 million members is a giant, vibrant organization that has ever been championing for the rights of workers rights, welfare by an engaging the government on the workers' behalf.
Atwoli who is a tough spoken human Rights and welfare defender has been on the forefront stating that President Uhuru Kenyatta is too young to retire from politics in 2022.
The veteran unionist turned 'politician' has sworn that Kenyans should brace for the referendum before 2022 hinting that the constitution will be for the best interest of Kenyans.
