Sonko speaking on Saturday at Kangemi area in Westlands constituency said the youths who will be employed must open bank accounts where their monthly salaries will be sent to.

“There are plans to employ casual workers to help in cleaning the county. Youths who will be hired should open a bank account where their salaries will be sent to as this will help keep off cartels from stealing the funds,” he said.

Sonko promised to ensure there is equitability in the employment of casual workers.

He warned county workers against favoring their relatives to get employment in the county.

“The fruits of devolution must be enjoyed by everyone. Casual workers must be employed from all corners of the county and youths should work at their place of residence,” he added.

The governor said county workers will receive their payment on Monday and rumors being spread on social media that his government has failed to deliver are total propaganda being peddled by political losers.

Sonko warned boda boda riders against invading the city saying riders must adhere to the rules set by the county government to avoid falling on the wrong side of the law.
