Statehouse spokesman Kanze Dena has denied knowledge of any cabinet reshuffle plans.
This follows suspicions that President Uhuru Kenyatta could be planning to change his team, in a move that is probable to see him introduce opposition nominees.
Addressing the press from the coastal city of Mombasa on Monday, however, Dena said that she is not privy to any plans of such kind.
"I do not have any information regarding a cabinet reshuffle, I am hearing it from you. In case of any changes you will be told," she told a journalist who raised the enquiry.
She further rubbished claims that the less-known President's stay at the Coast was secret, saying that Uhuru has only changed the environment due to the nature of his job.
She added that the President has not held any political meetings at the coast, making it clear that he is solely in the region for developmental issues.
"His presence here has no political links but is solely based on his presidential roles and as the leader of this nation," added Dena.
The denial comes amid expectations that opposition leader Raila Odinga and his colleagues within the National Super Alliance (NASA) would feature in the new team.
