Garissa Women Representative Anab Subow now wants top officials at the Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) to resign over the cancellation of 2018 KCSE results of over 500 candidates in the county.
Subow has accused Knec officials of alleged malice in cancelling the results.
The MP says that the national exams body has failed to give clear reasons why the results were cancelled.
According to Subow, cheating is not reason enough as to why the results were cancelled.
The MP has demanded for auditing of the 2018 KCSE results, noting that innocent candidates are being punished for the crime they did not commit.
"Knec officials must step aside and allow their systems to be audited," the MP said when she issued bursary funds to needy but bright students at Saka Secondary School on Tuesday.
Subow also demanded for Knec to produce transcripts of students whose results were cancelled for verification.
She asked leaders in the county to unite and demand justice for the affected candidates.
The MP said that affected students are depressed and could easily be lured to crime and terror activities.
Knec cancelled results of over 500 candidates in the 2018 KCSE in Garissa over allegations of exam malpractices.
A section of Garissa leaders has threatened to file a case in court against Knec over the cancellation.
