The first group had addressed journalists few days ago claiming that Janet Ong’era had promised to take them to the training and also pay for the processing of their licenses.

However, their impatience drove them to address journalists saying that they would demonstrate over the same.

This has brought a ‘cold war’ between the two groups with another opposing the word that was given to journalists a few days ago.

Addressing journalists on Tuesday, the chairman of boda-boda riders in Kisii town condemned the act saying that it has now been politicized and other politicians are using some boda-boda riders as 2022 showdown is nearing.

”There are people who told media personnel that we are going to demonstrate after the delay of the issuance of driving licenses as Madam Janet Ong’era  Promised.

"We received money from her office for the training we should be patient for the licenses too. There are politicians who are using other boda-boda riders in order to get votes in 2022. Those who need the licences urgently, should go the NTSA portal and apply, wait for 21 days to get their licenses,” Mose said.
