Football Kenya has promised to sponsor Harambee Stars to hold camp in France if they qualify for next year's AFCON finals in Cameroon.
According to the federation's president, Nick Mwendwa, they will go an extra mile to ensure the team is well prepared for the tournament come next year.
This comes after a perfect performance by Stars, who swept aside Ethiopia a the Moi Kasarani Stadium on Sunday, a 3-0 win that put the team on top of Group F.
The stars stand a good chance of qualifying, after two victories and a draw in their last three matches. They first silenced Ghana's Black Stars at the Moi Stadium, before a 0-0 draw away to Ethiopia before the return leg on Sunday.
The last time the team qualified for the finals was 14 years ago, then under the leadership of Jacob 'Ghost' Mulee in 2004.
“We have plans in place to have the team train in France for two weeks ahead of the 2019 Afcon in Cameroon,” Mwendwa said after Kenyan beat Ethiopia 3-0 on Sunday to consolidate their place at the summit with seven points.
There still remains some grey areas in the group though, with Sierra Leone having been banned by FIFA to take part in the fixtures due to interference in the administration of soccer.
This means Ghana did not play their double-header against Sierra Leon, leaving the West African side lying on the third position with three points.
Ethiopia are second with four points, having won one and drawn one. Ghana and Sierra Leon are tied on three points each.
SHould FIFA lift the ban on Sierra Leon, Stars will take on the team at the Kasarani Stadium.
Kenya will, however, book an early qualification to Cameroon, should Fifa hold on to their stand. Sierra Leone were banned from the qualifiers due to government interference.
