At JKl Show on Wednesday, Kobogo insisted that he was rigged because he was a 'threat' to some people's political careers.

"I didn't lose. They rigged me out simply because I was a threat to their political aspirations," said Mr. Kabogo, who lost Jubilee ticket to Ferdinand Waititu.

Asked if Ruto was to blame, he said: " Definitely yes. He was incharge of the exercise. He had an interest. He may have done that be it instructions from elsewhere but nobody can stop Athi River from flowing."

After President Uhuru Kenyatta's term, Kabogo is believed to be a possible regional political de facto given his financial muscles.

On the show, however, Kabogo could still not predict the seat he will run for in 2022 polls.

"I still don't know if I'll run for governor. Yes, I can run for president or be someone's running mate but I'll decide when time comes."

Mr. Ruto, who is keen to succeed President Kenyatta, has been making inroads in populous Central Kenya region.

But Kabogo's recent handshake with Raila Odinga may have as well hinted his possible political route in 2022 elections.
