Kabogo on Sunday posted three photos in which he was drinking ‘madafu’, with the caption “Madafu the best to cool one in hot weather”.

Madafu is the Kiswahili word for the clear liquid found inside young coconuts.

Kenyans reacted differently to the post, with a section of them pointing out the benefits of the drink which is popular in the Coastal region.

Some reacted by reigniting the 2022 debate, stating that the flamboyant politician should make a comeback in the next general election.

Here are some of the reactions by Kenyans.

Kabogo who vied as an independent candidate in the 2017 polls lost his seat to Jubilee’s Ferdinand Waititu.

The former county boss has, however, dismissed claims that he will be seeking to recapture his seat in the 2022 polls, noting that he is no longer interested in local politics.

“I am not focused on local politics and my interest is to serve Kenyans on the national level,” he said.

Kabogo at the same declared interest in the 2022 presidency, noting that he is determined to be part of the next government.

"I may not run as Kabogo but as a group of like-minded individuals who mean well for this country. I may go for the presidency or be someone's running mate," he said.
