On Thursday, Kuria had accused unnamed individuals of allegedly fueling Rift between him President Uhuru Kenyatta, adding that he fully supports Uhuru and Raila Odinga's Building Bridges Initiative contrary to media reports.

And on his official Facebook account on Saturday, Kuria accused a section of Mt Kenya leaders of allegedly escalating his remarks, adding that they had termed him to a punching bag.

"To fellow leaders in Mt Kenya region. On Thursday 10th January I issued a statement and appealed we now stop this debate and go work for our people.

Yesterday some were still continuing with this escalation. More press conferences and personalized attacks will not help our people. Stop it please," Kuria wrote.

On Friday, leaders from Mt Kenya continued with their series of Press Conferences in defense of the president with Nyandarua Governor Francis Kimemia and his Meru counterpart Kiraitu Murungi accusing Kuria of disrespecting the president.

At the eve of the New Year, Kuria seemingly accused Uhuru of allegedly neglecting Mt Kenya region in his development agenda, a claim which the Head of State vehemently denied.

"I will continue traversing this country to launch development projects. It doesn't mean that I should with only where I come from. Those peddling that narrative should leave me alone," he said.
