The legislator identified Kipchumba Murkomen as a man out to spoil Ruto's chances to clinch power through his 'reckless' pronouncements over Jubilee Party affairs.

He termed Murkomen's remarks on Sunday indicating that there were cracks in the governing outfit as malicious and demeaning, claiming they were meant to bring division and discord in the ruling party.

In a statement on Tuesday, Kutuny likened the Senator to some politicians, which he did not name, in the retired President Mwai Kibaki's administration whom he said made the then President unpopular 'once they opened their mouths'.

"The likes of Senate Majority Leader can be equated to some politicians who served during the regime of retired President Mwai Kibaki, who every time they spoke spoiled thousands of votes for him. Murkomen and a few other leaders calling themselves Ruto's allies are in the same league. They are a liability to the Deputy President," he said.

The second-time MP cautioned 'Ruto's allies' against purporting to speak for the DP, noting he has all it takes to marshall successful political campaign without them.

"I would like to point out that DP is a brand in himself. He does not need some reckless and egoistic politicians to market him," Kutuny stated.
