Early this month, Assembly Budget Committee Chair Richard Onyinkwa lamented that over Sh4.8 billion is being diverted to recurrent expenditure, a move that leaves very little for development.
In his statement that was also tabled at the Assembly, Onyinkwa said of the Sh4.6 billion for equitable share, non goes to development as intented by drafters of the constitution.
This means that on total, the County Government of Nyamira will have a whopping 16 Chief Officers, almost equal to the county government of Nairobi which receives the highest share from National Government.
