A police officer has murdered his wife in Njoro before killing himself.

The officer attached at Piave police patrol base is said to have committed the murder on Monday night.

The bodies of the two were found on Tuesday morning.

A family member of the woman said the two married three months ago and have been displaying ‘hot love’.

“She used to work in a cafe at the centre, the place where she met with the officer.

They loved each other and decided to live together after the officer took her to his parents," the source said.

Those who knew the couple said they were shocked to learn of the deaths as they seemed deep in love.
