Despite Raila's camp insisting that the opposition chief joined the President to ensure that the nation realizes economic growth, leaders allied to the second in command has continued to read malice in the union.

According to Pokot South MP David Pkosing, Raila is not sincere in his moves. He believes that the opposition leader is hanging around the head of state because he hopes to get endorsement for the Presidency.

He reminded that Raila, who doubles as AU Special envoy, not to bank on Uhuru for support when that time comes. The lawmaker noted that this is a big miscalculation.

“This is a serious miscalculation because the politics of endorsement has a history of failure in this country,” he said, as Daily Nation quoted.

Raila has maintained that he will continue to work with President Kenyatta before 2022. On the other side, Ruto feels uncomfortable with their relationship. His team believes he is likely to be shortchanged.

The DP has been linked to many sagas in government with actions such as donations to churches sparking endless controversies about his source of wealth.
