This is according to Juja Member of Parliament Francis Munyua who says that the leaders need to support the President in his war against graft.

Speaking to the press in Juja on Thursday evening, the MP said that the MoU signed between President Uhuru Kenyatta and UK Prime Minister Theresa May will boost the efforts by the President to ensure that the corrupt are arrested and prosecuted.

He added that the fight against graft is already heading in the right direction as the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution is doing great by arresting and charging in court those involved in corruption incidences.

“The DPP has shown that he is serious and the DCI is also doing his best in the investigations and we hope leaders and other authorities can support them so that we can make it easier for the President to fight corruption,” he added.

The legislator has lauded the DPP Noordin Haji for the efforts he has shown and called on the government officials and politicians to support him in this hard task.

He further called on his fellow leaders to lead by example by fighting graft in the constituencies and also keep off graft because the young leaders and their constituents learn from them as their mentors.

"I am calling upon my fellow leaders to help in the fight against corruption. It is time we restore people’s confidence in the in the leaders and the government. The move by the UK Prime Minister to support our President in the fight against corruption gives us hopes that we will tame corruption one day in this country,” he said.
