A baby boy allegedly dumped immediately after birth by his mother, has been found in a bush.
A good Samaritan who identified himself as Moffat Bitok said he found the baby who was crying helplessly around Mlango Village, Kapseret, along Eldoret-Kapsabet road on Sunday.
Narrating the incident Bitok said he was shocked by the incident as it came unexpectedly.
He found the newborn at around 7 pm.
"After attending a home graduation ceremony of my friend, I joined my friends to have tea in the centre as usual. Going back home, I decided to visit a barber shop to trim my hair, but before reaching the place, I heard a baby cry in a bush," narrated Bitok
He went ahead to pick the baby from the bush and realized he might be hours old.
"I decided to call for help from people who were passing by. We discussed and I had to take the baby home," he said.
Bitok, 26, says he will be reporting the matter to the police to get help and further directions on how the baby will be taken care of.
