The Jubilee party has called for a Parliamentary Group meeting on Tuesday to discuss inner issues that have threatened to split the coalition.
The meeting was announced after President Uhuru Kenyatta met his deputy William Ruto at State House on Friday in a five-hour meeting.
The two seems to have agreed on toning down on 2022 politics if Ruto’s Sunday conduct is anything to go by.
While attending a church service on Sunday in Meru, the DP asked leaders to stop 2022 succession politics.
“We should not disturb the public with politics. It is time to focus on matters that make real change in the lives of Kenyans. Our energy is now directed towards delivering electricity, water and good infrastructure to Kenyans. We want to address the concerns of the people. Kenyans did their part by voting; it is our time to work,” the DP said.
It is understood that party leader Uhuru Kenyatta will ask all the Jubilee leaders to stop the friendly fire and focus on the Big Four Agenda.
He will assure Ruto’s allies that he will lead his DP’s campaigns when the right time comes.
