Popular hip-hop rapper Henry Ohanga, well known as Octopizzo is said to have been involved in the death of a 19-year-old Strathmore student by the name, Kenneth Abom.
It is reported that Octopizzo engaged Abom, an ICT student at Strathmore, in some violence by beating him and even removing a panga threatening to murder him. On hearing this, Abom then descided to escape only to jump from the forth floor of the building.
This happened on Thursday, January 17, after Octopizzo found the Strathmore University student in his Woodley house uninvited. In a phone interview with KTN, Octopizzo said:
“The neighbour that was there saw everything, took him back and went to their house, then an hour later we heard the boy has jumped.”
The victim suffered severe injuries that he had to be rushed to Nairobi Women’s hospital then later to Kenyatta National Hospital. He then passed away on Saturday while undergoing treatment.
However, the 'Oliel' hitmaker rejected the claims that he killed the student, but he did not refuse to have engaged the young man in a fight.
Octopizzo's neighbours say the boy was a big fan but sources aren't clear what the boy was doing at the house despite the presence of the rapper's sister.
Abom's family is still waiting for a postmortem report so as to file a case against the rapper.
