Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala attributed his arrest by detectives in connection with Matungu killings to DP William Ruto.
Malala on Friday blamed detectives for being used by the DP to play tribal cards, adding that he will not be intimidated to join Tanga Tanga team.
The vocal senetor directed the officers to notify the deputy president of existing divisions within the National Intelligence Service in a video making rounds on social media.
"I represent people. You cannot play the tribal card and people are dying," said a furious Malala.
The legislator argued that he was ready to adduce sufficient evidence to a court of law when called upon over the matter.
"I am reminding you to go and tell William Samoei Ruto that we know what the intelligence team is doing. The intelligence is divided and I have evidence. We were briefed yesterday," lamented the senetor.
He revealed that he was targeted because he had refused to join Ruto's camp, which he termed as a group of thieves.
He further argued: "You cannot do that just because I don't think in the same direction with them. I will not join Jubilee. I will not join that man (Ruto). I won't join thieves!"
The lawmaker vowed never to succumb to any form of intimidation from any government quarter.
The detectives, however, whisked the senetor into a police vehicle despite him lecturing them furiously.
