Owino wants Obado’s supporters to stop linking Raila to his court case.

The Embakasi East MP wants the governor's supporters to allow the court to do its work.

“It is unfortunate and wrong for some people to link Raila Odinga or ODM to the troubles facing Migori governor,” he told journalists at his Parliament office in Nairobi on Monday.

Owino said that Obado is fighting a criminal case and not a political case.

“They (Obado’s supporters) should keep Raila’s name out of the case,” he said.

Owino said that the law should be allowed to take its course.

He asked the embattled Governor to fight his case in corridors of justice.

A section of Obado’s supporters have accused Raila of keeping silent on the case.

The supporters also allege that Raila orchestrated Obado’s troubles and have vowed to teach ODM a lesson when time comes.

Obado is remanded at the Nairobi Industrial Area prison pending his fresh bail application on October 8.

The Migori governor along with his two Personal Assistants (PA) Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero pleaded not guilty to killing Sharon Otieno.
